Women's Golf Set For Boston College Intercollegiate

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Penn State women’s golf team will travel to the Bay State this weekend to compete in the Boston College Intercollegiate at Blue Hill Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions will look to bounce back up north after a shaky weekend down south when they tackle the par-72, 6,137-yard course located in Canton, Massachusetts. The BC Intercollegiate, which was brought back in 2017, returns after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and features a 15-team field.

Monday will feature 36 holes of continuous play beginning with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start while Tuesday’s final round will feature split tee times off holes #1 and #10 beginning at 8 a.m.

Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.

THE TEAM

  • Penn State’s starting five will remain untouched from the first two tournaments of the season. Senior Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) is joined by junior classmates Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) and Isha Dhruva (Katy, Texas) along with freshman Drew Nienhaus (St. Louis, Mo.) and sophomore Victoria Tip-Aucha (Vienna, Va.).
  • Sophomore Maria Arizaga (Samborondon, Ecuador) will compete as an individual in her second tournament of the season after finishing tied for 35th at the Nittany Lion Invitational to open the season.
  • Delavallade paces the Nittany Lions in the early going of the year with an under-par scoring average of 70.83 while Willis has just a half-stroke difference at 71.33. Each player has registered under-par rounds in four out of six over the first two events of the fall season.
