La Quinta, Calif. — Northwestern men’s golf returns to action Feb. 21-23 for 22nd Annual The Prestige in La Quinta, California, at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
The 54-hole tournament begins on Presidents Day, Monday, February 21 and 18 hole rounds run through Wednesday, February 23 at the renowned Greg Norman Course at PGA WEST. This will be the 20th consecutive year that The Prestige is being played at a PGA WEST managed course.
The founding Prestige co-host universities are UC Davis and Stanford University. This year’s 24 team field includes 2021 NCAA D1 Champion Pepperdine University, and past NCAA Champions Stanford, Oregon, LSU, UCLA, SMU, North Texas and Princeton along with current top 30 ranked teams Pepperdine, Stanford, Texas Tech, Kansas, Vanderbilt, LSU and Northwestern.
The Prestige has featured many of the world’s great players during their collegiate careers including the world’s #1 player Jon Rahm, #5 Viktor Hovland, and Olympic Golf Medalist and current #7 Xander Schauffele amongst many others.
