FRENCH LICK, Indiana – Senior David Nyfjäll fired a 1-under 215 over three days at The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort to win the 2022 Big Ten Men’s Golf Championship. Hewas the only golfer in the 72-man field to finish the weekend under par, becoming Northwestern’s first medalist at the event since David Lipsky (2010) and Eric Chun (2009) went back-to-back for the ‘Cats.

The Wildcats, led by head coach David Inglis and director of golf Pat Goss, finished fourth as a team just five strokes off the top of the leaderboard.
Big Ten Network will debut coverage of the Big Ten Men’s Golf Championships on Saturday, May 14 at 11 a.m. ET. The NCAA Men’s Golf Championship selection show will air on GOLF Channel and streamed live on the Golf Channel website on Wednesday, May 4 at 4 p.m. ET.
