Jeewon Park has joined the Cal men’s golf program.
Transfer Spent Last Two Seasons At Arizona State
BERKELEY – Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men’s Golf Walter Chun announced Thursday that Jeewon Park has signed a financial aid agreement and to join the Cal men’s golf program. Park spent his first two collegiate campaigns in 2020-21 and 2021-22 at Arizona State before entering the transfer portal. Park has two seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining and will be a junior in his third season of collegiate men’s golf at Cal in 2022-23.
“Adding Jeewon is a huge boost to our program,” Chun said. “We have a lot good players currently on the team, and adding a player of Jeewon’s caliber will make us all better. In addition to his skillset on the course, he’s a bright young man and a great person to be around. Jeewon will truly elevate the program in so many ways. The 2022-23 season can’t come soon enough.”
“I want to thank coach Chun and coach Massoletti for giving me an opportunity to join a great team and a terrific golf program,” Park said. “I am excited to be a Golden Bear and look forward to having a great season with the team. Go Bears!”
