BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama junior Canon Claycomb was named to the 2022 Southeastern Conference’s Community Service Team for men’s golf, the league office announced Friday. Claycomb, who led the Crimson Tide in service hours, is Alabama’s representative on the 14-man team that honors players’ exemplary service to their communities.
- Canon Claycomb leads the way for the Crimson Tide in the community
- Has raised over $300,000 as the founder and director of The Mason Cup – a non-profit charity golf tournament to raise money for the Mason Goodnight foundation
- Proceeds of the event go to the Boys and Girls club of Franklin, Ky., in remembrance of Bowling Green native Mason Goodnight
- A member of the Alabama Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC)
- The organization helps the Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas by planning community events including the Habitat for Humanity builds, Halloween Extravaganza and Project Angel Tree among others
