Washington senior RJ Manke is one of 10 collegiate men’s golfers named to the 2022 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) PING All-America first team.
Additionally, along with Manke, senior Noah Woolsey and sophomore Teddy Lin earned PING All-Western Region fom the GCAA.
Manke, from Lakewood, Wash., transferred to the UW prior to the 2021-22 season and made his one season in the Purple and Gold a special one. After two individual tournament titles and nine top-5 finishes during the season, he was named the 2022 Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Year.
Monday, he finishes in a tie for 15th place at the NCAA Championships, while also finishing fourth in the final PGA Tour U rankings, which earned him his PGA Tour Korn Ferry card for the remainder of the season, as well as entry to the final stage of Q school.
Manke also broke the UW record for single-season scoring average, at 69.32. He is the ninth Husky ever to earn first-team All-America honors, and the first since current PGA Tour player C.T. Pan was named to the team for the second time in 2015, having also made it in 2013.
Woolsey capped his UW career by winning the 2022 Pac-12 Championship last month at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash., while also earning first-team All-Pac-12. Lin was named to the 2022 All-Pac-12 second team. His season was highlighted by a tournament championship at the Duck Invitational.
