Golf fans can now grab tickets (opens in new tab) for the star-studded JCB Championship, taking place on the Legends Tour at JCB Golf & Country Club between 29th-31st July.
The huge field features a number of golfing legends who make their way to the prestigious Staffordshire venue the week after the Senior Open. Ryder Cup stars and Major winners, including tournament host 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke, four-time Major winner Ernie Els and two-time Major winner John Daly are just some of the headline names.
Other star names in the €600,000 field include eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner Colin Montgomerie, two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, four-time Major winner and former World No.1 Vijay Singh and two-time US Open winner Retief Goosen.
A total of 18 Major winners (Including seven Open champions) and players with a total of 35 Ryder Cup appearances will be in the field.
As well as seeing some of the game’s most iconic figures, fans on-site will also be able to marvel at the stunning JCB Golf & Country Club, which is one of the UK’s best modern golf courses. Designed by Robin Hiseman of European Golf Design, the championship course weaves its way around 240 acres of rolling countryside and has already hosted professional tournaments and is now famous for its island-green par-3 17th hole.
The event will also feature a JCB Fanzone with high quality food and drinks outlets, shops and a golf simulator for visitors to test their golfing skills. Complimentary parking will be available within a 10-minute walk of the golf course, and profits from the JCB Championship will be donated to JCB’s NSPCC Platinum Jubilee Appeal.
Adult day tickets are priced at just £20 and youth tickets (13-17-year-olds) at £5. Under 12s are free. Three-day adult passes are also available at £55 and three-day youth passes at £15. Under 12s again go free.
