RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men’s golf head coach Press McPhaul announced Tuesday that Jeremy Alcorn has joined the program as an assistant coach.
“Jeremy Alcorn is a quality coach,” McPhaul said. “He’s been a part of building and sustaining success. His experience as an elite student-athlete at Baylor, coupled with his work at Texas Tech, Coastal Carolina and Liberty help him make an ideal fit for us. We are grateful to have him, Ashleigh and Asher join us at NC State.”
Alcorn comes to NC State from Liberty where he served as assistant coach from 2019-22. He also has previous coaching experience at Coastal Carolina and Texas Tech.
The All-America golfer from Baylor served as assistant men’s golf coach at Coastal Carolina during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, while working as an assistant coach at Texas Tech from 2014-15 to 2016-17.

In the shortened 2019-20 season that saw the season canceled midway through the spring slate, Liberty had six student-athletes make the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-Academic Scholars Team.

Coastal Carolina’s Morgan Deneen won the Sun Belt individual title, was voted the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and named All-Sun Best first team. Luis Ruiz (second team) and Thadd Obecny II (third team) also earned all-conference honors.
