Abraham Ancer What’s In The Bag?

At the start of 2022, it was announced that Abraham Ancer had signed a multi-year agreement with Callaway, putting several of the brand’s clubs into play. After enjoying his most successful season to date in 2021, becoming the first Mexican to win a WGC event, we take a look at what clubs Ancer is currently using.

At the start of 2022 Ancer had put the brand-new Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond (opens in new tab) in the bag but he has now gone back to the Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond model. It is lofted to around 9.5 degrees and has a Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 60 TX shaft.

His fairway wood slots have also changed in 2022 after having put a set of newer Rogue ST models in. He right now appears to have a TaylorMade SIM2 Max model as his three-wood and then has what looks to be a Callaway Rogue ST Prototype as well. It has no markings on the wood and looks like no club we’ve seen but it has distinct outlines of the Rogue ST markings.

Irons

Srixon ZX, Miura MB TC-201

For a long time Ancer carried a TaylorMade Tour Preferred utility iron in his setup, but that has recently come out in favor of a Srixon ZX Forged model. The decision has seemed to pay off, an example of this being at the 2021 CJ Cup, where he holed out for an Albatross. (opens in new tab)
