Corey Conners What’s In The Bag?

Canadian Corey Conners, was a Monday qualifier when he managed to secure the Valero Texas Open in 2019. It was a momentous moment in his career and he has since gone from strength to strength. Let’s take a look at the clubs he currently uses on Tour.

A Ping staff player, he uses the LST version of the Ping G400 driver (opens in new tab) which is a slightly older model. The G400 range first came to our attention in 2017 and it has since been replaced by the G410 and G425 lines of clubs but Conners has shown no urgency to swap his LST for a newer design. Perhaps this is because from 2017 he has been climbing the world rankings at an awesome pace and has got as high as 32nd in the world.

He does have brand new clubs in the next part of his bag though, a Ping G425 three-wood, and a Ping G425 three-hybrid. (opens in new tab) The three-wood is an LST model and is fitted with a Project X HZRDUS Black shaft. The hybrid is a regular G425 and has 20 degrees of loft.

Irons

Ping i210, Ping i59

In the past Conners has had a Ping i210 four-iron in the bag before moving into a set of Ping iBlades, however this has now changed to a set of Ping i59 (opens in new tab)‘s. All of the irons are fitted with Project X 6.0 shafts, although we have occasionally seen the i210 four-iron come back into the setup so we will keep tabs on this and update this page if his iron setup changes.

Wedges

Ping Glide 4.0, Titleist Vokey SM8

Additionally he also has the same Project X shafts in his three wedges. Two of which are the Ping Glide 4.0’s with 50 and 56 degrees of loft, whilst the 60 degree models are Titleist Vokey SM8 (opens in new tab)‘s.
