Rickie Fowler What’s In The Bag?
A player who has achieved a lot in the game of golf and is currently moving up and down the world rankings, Rickie Fowler has been a Cobra staff player for a number of years now but still has a couple of interesting gear pieces worth mentioning. Let’s take a look at his setup now.
Rickie Fowler What’s In The Bag?
Driver
Cobra LTDx LS
Fowler is a Cobra-Puma ambassador and his driver situation has recently changed. He had been using the Cobra Radspeed XB Limited Edition Palm Tree Crew Driver and both the yellow and white versions of the F9 Speedback as well, however his current gamer is the Cobra LTDx LS driver which is the lowest spinning model in the LTDx range. There is a lot to like about the Cobra LTDx LS driver and for any faster swinging golfers, the controlled flight is the standout performance gain here, whereas we were also impressed with the forgiveness on offer from a low spin model.
Fairways
Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour, Cobra LTDx LS
To go along with his driver, Fowler uses a couple of three-woods at the moment with different lofts. He often chops and changes between the two. One of them is a Cobra Radspeed Big Tour model with around 12.5 degrees of loft, and the other is a Cobra LTDx LS model and it acts as his five-wood with around 18 degrees of loft.
Irons
Cobra King Forged MB
Moving to the irons he had been using a F9 Speedback Utility iron (opens in new tab) as his four iron before transitioning into a set of Cobra King Forged MB’s. However the F9 has come out of late and replaced with an MB model instead. As such his iron setup goes from four-iron down to pitching wedge and are fitted with Mitsubishi Chemical MMT 125 TX shafts. Rickie had been using some RF Proto irons from Cobra, irons that had so little offset that Rory McIlroy said they gave him the shakes. These irons were only in the bag briefly though as Fowler quickly moved back to the MB’s.
