Golfweek Preseason Women’s All-Americans 2022-2023

Golfweek Preseason Women’s All-Americans 2022-2023

It’s never too early to start thinking about postseason honors, especially with the 2022-23 college golf season upon us.

Leading Golfweek’s Preseason Women’s First Team All-American list is none other than the world’s No. 1 amateur, defending national champion and ANNIKA Award winner, Rose Zhang. As a freshman at Stanford, Zhang did what she does best: win, often. She won her first three starts as a freshman and is primed for another big year (and she’s far from the only Cardinal on the list).

Check out the rest of the preseason first team, as well as the second and third teams for the 2022-23 college golf season.

Amari Avery, USC

Avery joined the Trojans as a spring semester freshman last season and won two of her first three starts before adding a third at the NCAA Stanford Regional. Don’t be surprised if she returns an even better season this year.

Hannah Darling, South Carolina

Was first team All-SEC thanks to five top-five finishes in 10 starts as a freshman last year. The 2021 R&A Girls Amateur champion will be the key to South Carolina’s success this season.

Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, Oklahoma State

Big 12 Player of the Year and a second team All-American last season after winning medalist honors at the NCAA Stillwater Regional. Added six top-10 finishes and finished inside the top 25 in every tournament except the NCAA Championship (T-31).

Rachel Kuehn, Wake Forest

Kuehn was the 2022 ACC Player of the Year and a first team All-American and represented the United States at both the Arnold Palmer Cup and Curtis Cup this summer. Expect a big year.
