Gary Woodland What’s In The Bag?
What clubs does the American use? We take a look below. A few years ago Gary Woodland signed with Wilson which we believe was a contract to play ten clubs made by the brand. We are yet to confirm if this relationship still remains in place but given he uses Wilson irons and wedges, we could assume it has done so.
Gary Woodland What’s In The Bag?
Driver
Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond S
Woodland has changed his driver a lot of late. We have seen him put models from Ping, Cobra, Callaway and TaylorMade in the bag recently, including the new Stealth Plus (opens in new tab) model that has gone into the bags of Tiger Woods (opens in new tab) and Rory McIlroy (opens in new tab). However at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open he turned up with a Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond S model in the bag.
Fairways
Ping G425 Max or Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond T 3HL
His fairway wood situation is much the same as the driver. In the past he had the Ping G410, Titleist TS2 and a Wilson Prototype in the bag but right now he has a couple of models in there. He interestingly carries two three-woods at the moment but we believe he chops and changes these – they are a Ping G425 Max (opens in new tab) and a Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond T 3HL model. He also decides to carry a Ping G425 Max seven-wood.
Irons
Wilson Staff Model Utility, Wilson Staff Staff Model Blades
Moving to the irons he decides to carry a Wilson Staff Model Utility iron at the moment with 18 degrees of loft. Designed to deliver a combination of distance, reliability and forgiveness, the Wilson Staff Model Utility iron features seven grams of weight positioned low in the club head for increased launch angles.
The rest of his irons, from four-iron down to pitching wedge, are Wilson Staff Model Blades. The best part of the irons is the 8620 carbon steel face that provides a classic muscleback feel and feedback ideal…
