Crocket Paced the Tigers at Rod Myers Invitational


DURHAM, N.C. – The University of Missouri men’s golf team closed out, the Rod Myer Invitational on Saturday afternoon in ninth place against the competitive 14-team slate as Alabama took home the team title. Senior Charlie Crockett placed tied for third to pace the Tigers in their 14-over 878 (295-293-290) finish on the challenging Duke University Golf Club.

Crocket had an impressive third round recording a Invitational best 7-under 65 Crockets 65 ties for the third best scored in tournament history. This also marks a career-best for Crocket.  In the final round of play Crocket recorded an impressive seven birdies.

Jack Lundin fired an even-par 72 in the first round, followed by an 3-over 75 in the second round. Lundin finished with a 1-over 71 en route to an event score and place of 2-over 218 to tie for 23rd place.

Tommy Boone weekend was highlighted by his second-round score of a even-par 72. He sandwiched that with a 2-over 74 and 7-over 79, respectively, to finish third on the team with a 9-over 225 at T-43.

Alfons Bondesson carded a 4-over 76 and 1-over 73 on the first day. Parker went on to post a 2-over 74 in the end to stand at T-59 with a 13-over 229,

Rounding out the Tigers’ lineup was Dawson Meek whose best round was in the second 18-holes with a 1-over 73. He finished with a 19-over 229 tied for 59th place.
