Fuller Leads Gators in Day One of ANNIKA

LAKE ELMO, Minn. – Florida senior Annabell Fuller led the Gators in round one of the season opener at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate on Monday.

Making its second appearance in the tournament, UF shot a 294 (+6) to sit tied for sixth with Wake Forest. Two strokes separate fourth place Oregon and Duke with Virginia leading the field as the only team under par at -4.

Fuller owned a clean score as she sank two birdies on 15 (Par 4, 296 yards) and 3 (Par 4, 320 yards) at Royal Golf Club. She was one of seven golfers to finish under par in round one. The 2-under round marked her 22nd career low round.

Both Jackie Lucena (T15) and Maisie Filler (T25) placed in the top-25 and tied with a team-high three birdies. Lucena went birdie-par-par-par to close out the final holes to end a tick-over par at 73 (+1). Filler flippers Lucena’s ending as she recorded back-to-back on 13 and 14.

Making their Gator debuts, Karoline Tuttle and Taylor Roberts round out the lineup in T45 and T54.

Florida tees off round two tomorrow at 9:55 a.m. ET.
