Lady Vols Tied for Sixth After Two Rounds at Cougar Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Tennessee’s women’s golf team is tied for sixth place after two rounds at the Cougar Classic.
 
Teams played 36 holes Monday, as the third and final round is set for an 8:45 a.m. ET shotgun start Tuesday.

Vanessa Gilly led the Lady Vols through the opening holes, carding eight birdies and two under-par rounds. The junior finished the day tied for eighth place at 4-under.

 

Sophomore Bailey Davis carded a 69 during the last 18 holes and eagled on hole four of round one. Kayla Holden shot 1-under and notched four birdies during the first round. The duo is tied for 29^th place at even par ahead of the final round.

 

In her collegiate debut, Manassanan Chotikabhukkana recorded five birdies to shoot 1-under during the first round. The Bangkok, Thailand, native is tied for 43^rd place at +2.

 

Caroline Patterson, a freshman, carded a 54-hole score of 154 (+12) and is tied for 88^th place.
