ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Buckeyes won the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, which wrapped up on Tuesday. Ohio State turned in a final 54-hole team score of 853 (-11), which comes in as the fourth-best 54-hole score in program history. The Buckeyes were one of only two teams (SMU) to finish under par and they had a 10-stroke lead on the second-place finisher.
Lauren Peter led the Buckeyes, tying for fourth place to earn the highest finish of her career. She shot even par (72) in the final round for a 54-hole score of 213 (-3).
Aneka Seumanutafa and Caley McGinty finished tied for sixth place, both finishing the tournament with a three-round score of 214 (-2). Seumanutafa and McGinty both carded a 72 (E) in round three.
Kary Hollenbaugh fired a 71 (-1) in the final round on Tuesday, finishing with a total score of 215 (-1). She tied for ninth place.
Jillian Bourdage tied for 23rd place. She carded a 74 (+2) in the final round of play and shot a total score of 219 (+3).
The Buckeyes are back in action next week, heading to Nashville for the Mason Rudolph, hosted by Vanderbilt, Sept. 23-24.
