Three Cards Finish in the Top 10 at the Bearcat Invitational


LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Three University of Louisville men’s golfers finished in the top 10 as the Cardinals placed in third place at the Bearcat Invitational at the Coldstream Country Club on Tuesday.
 
The Cardinals posted their best finish of the fall, shooting a 5-under-par 290-278-279=847 to finish two shots off the lead.
 
Cincinnati won the tournament at 7-under-par and UNC-Greensboro placed second at 6-under.
 
Max Kennedy recorded his best finish by placing seventh overall after carding a 3-under-par. The junior shot 72-69-69=210 on the par 71 course. He helped the Cardinals move into third place by shooting a 2-under-par 69 on Tuesday.
 
Teammates Jiri Zuska and Sebastian Moss tied for eighth overall after shooting a 2-under-par 211. Zuska posted the round of the day by shooting a 4-under 67 and Moss carded a 3-under 68 for his highest finish.
 
Pierce Grieve tied for 19th at 1-over-par and Andrew Tan made his debut by placing 21st at 2-over-par. C.M. Mixon tied for 44th at 8-over-par and Jackson Brimfield was tied for 50th at 9-over. Walter Franklin tied for 56th overall.
 
The Cardinals return to action Sept. 26-27 at the Inverness Invitational in Toledo, Ohio.
