Freshman Mahanth Chirravuri tied for 20th — his second top 20 result in a row to begin his career — to lead the USC men’s golf team on the final day of the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday (Sept. 27).
The Trojans finished 16th at 52-over 904 (296-302-306). Texas Tech won at 1-over with Georgia Tech second at 7-over.
Chirravuri, who posted a tie for 11th in his career debut last week in Washington, tied for 20th at 6-over 219 (72-73-74). He posted eight birdies in the tournament.
Senior Parker Sisk (73-77-78) and sophomore Jackson Rivera (76-73-79) tied for 61st at 15-over 228.
Senior Jack Boulger tied for 78th at 20-over 233 (75-80-78) and sophomore Gavin Aurilia was 83rd at 21-over 234 (79-79-76).
USC returns to action Monday at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas.
