The Phillips’ Perspective…
“What a great experience for our team,” said head coach John Phillips. “To be able to compete and test their abilities on a course that regularly hosts PGA TOUR events was a real treat. I’m happy with how the team responded as the event unfolded. Those were, without a doubt, the toughest conditions I’ve experienced in my coaching career.”

“There were a lot of positives to take away from this event. The lessons we learned this week will pay dividends for the rest of the season.”

“I’m also happy for Celiberti, Brown, and Koras for earning top-20 individual finishes. Koras continues his strong final campaign as a Terp, and Dillon and Celiberti responded nicely after their performances at the Badger (Invitational). They both came back to College Park on a mission, and I’m glad their hard work is starting to pay off.”

Co-host University of San Francisco (USF) won the overall team event, and Howard’s Gregory Odom, Jr. won the individual division.
