RIVER HILLS, Wis. – Darkness ended play late in round two as the Purdue men’s golf team finished round one in a sixth-place tie earlier in the day Sunday.
Play was halted as teams had about two holes to play late Sunday. The official tally from Sunday’s action has the Boilermakers in a sixth-place tie after shooting an 8-over par 288. Purdue was 10 shots behind leader Iowa State (-2) and nine behind Charlotte (-1). The Boilermakers were tied with South Florida and Wisconsin after 18 holes.
Leading Purdue in round one was Nick Dentino with a 1-over par 71, good for 21st after 18 holes. Herman Sekne and Andrew Farraye each shot a 2-over par 72 to sit in 27th place. Peyton Snoeberger was tied for 38th at 33-over par 73 while Nels Surtani was tied for 67th at 6-over par 76.
Playing as an individual, Luke Prall was tied for 59th at 5-over par 75.
The teams will complete round two, then roll right into the start of the final round on Monday, resuming play at 10 a.m. ET.
