Borrelli Shoots 1-Over Par To Tie For Sixth Individually
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Cal women’s golf team has two individuals in the top-15 and stands in sixth place in the overall standings after the first round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Graduate transfer Annika Borrelli shot 1-over par 73 on Monday and is tied for sixth place in the individual standings. Junior Cristina Ochoa is in a tie for 15th place at 4-over par.
Only three individuals are under par after the first round in the 57-player field.
Cal spent most of the first round near the top of the team standings before a handful of bogeys dropped the Bears into sixth in the 11-team field.
Borrelli had an eagle on the second hole and added three birdies during her round.
The Bears tee off for the second round Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. PT.
