Women's Golf Prepares to Tee Off at Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Louisville women’s golf team travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. to compete in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Oct. 17-18. The tournament will consist of two rounds on Monday and one round on Tuesday with tee times to be determined.
 
Through three tournaments this season, sophomore Carmen Griffiths is playing some of her best golf in her career. She is averaging a 70.56 and placed in a tie for third in back-to-back tournaments so far this season (Schooner Classic and Blessings Collegiate). In the first GolfStat women’s golf individual rankings of the 2022-23 season, Griffiths checked in at 53rd overall.
 
The field for Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational is strong, consisting of 14 top-100 teams with two in the top 10. Hosted by North Carolina, 14 total teams will be participating.
 
This is the Cardinals’ second to last tournament of the fall season, with their last tournament coming on Oct. 24-25 in the Olde Stone Intercollegiate.
