WINDERMERE, Fla. – The Illinois men’s golf team, ranked No. 5 in both the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches’ Top-25 and the Golfweek Men’s Team Collegaite rankings, and rated No. 9 nationally by Golfstat, closes out the fall competition schedule, Oct. 23-25, at the prestigious Isleworth Collegiate (previously the Tavistock Collegiate).
THE SETTING
The Isleworth Collegiate, widely regarded as one of the top events on the college golf schedule, is held at the Par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The course is home to one of the longest and toughest tracks in the state. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay with a re-design by Steve Smyers in 2003, the course demands precise drives and accurate short game shots.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The 54-hole tournament will be a five-count-four format played over three days, with 18 holes slated for each day of competition. Each round is set to tee off beginning at 8 a.m. ET/7 a.m. CT Sunday-Tuesday.
THE FIELD
The field includes 15 programs vying for the title, highlighted by eight program ranked in the top 60 by Golfstat. The No. 9 Illini are joined by No. 3 Auburn, No. 11 Florida, No. 24 Arizona, No. 28 LSU, No. 31 North Florida, NO. 42 Purdue, and No. 57 South Carolina. The rest of the fields includes Augusta, Cal, Minnesota, UNLV, Utah, and co-hosts UCF and West Virginia.

ILLINI AT THE ISLEWORTH COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL
The Fighting Illini have competed in the event (previously known as the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational) 12 times since 2007, including each of the last nine since 2012 (no event was held in 2020). The Illini took home the team title in 2015, and last year, the team finished second behind then-sophomore Piercen Hunt’s first collegiate victory. Adrien Dumont de Chassart placed third in last year’s event, his highest finish at Isleworth after tying for 29th as a freshman in 2018 and grabbing a share of 48th as a sophomore in 2019.
