Women's Golf Concludes Play at Landfall Tradition


WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Penn State women’s golf team carded its best round of the weekend with a 303 on Sunday morning during the final round of the 20th annual Landfall Tradition. The Nittany Lions finished 18th for the week.

San Jose State won the tournament by six strokes strokes at 22-under while Wake Forest (16-under) finished in second. Florida State (15-under), South Carolina (12-under) and UCF (3-over) round out the top-5.

Senior Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) continued her climb after a rocky first round as she moved up 12 spots following a final round 1-under, 71, which included a clean card on the front nine with one birdie.

Senior classmates Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) and Isha Dhruva (Katy, Texas) complimented Willis’ round with final round scores of 4-over and 5-over, respectively, while sophomore classmates Michelle Cox (Allentown, Pa.) and Drew Nienhaus (St. Louis, Mo.) rounded out the team scoring with scores of 7-over and 8-over.
