Tech signs Delon, Mathews in 2023 class


BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech women’s golf head coach Carol Robertson announced Wednesday the signing of Emily Mathews and Valentine Delon to national letters of intent. The two golfers will join the Hokies in the fall of 2023.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Eastern Alamance … Team captain … Regional Champion 2019, 2020 and 2022 … NCHSAA 3A individual state champion 2020, 2021 and 2022 … Shot 6-under 66 in the final round of state championship in 2022, the second-lowest round in state championship history … Chose Tech over UNC and NC State.
