LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men’s golf team signed transfer, Mads Røddik onto their roster for the upcoming spring semester.
Røddik transfers in from New Mexico Junior College and will be eligible to compete for the Cardinals starting in spring 2023.
“It’s exciting when you can add a player of Mads ability,” head coach Ryan Blagg said. “He is incredibly talented and I am anxious to get him on campus.
Røddik, a sophomore from Aarhus, Denmark, is currently ranked as the fourth best individual player in junior college on Golfstat.
As a freshman, Røddik earned GCAA Second Team All-American honors for spring 2022. Most recently, Røddik competed in four tournaments as a sophomore for NMJC during the fall 2022 semester. He finished in a tie for seventh (3-under-par 213) at the Waco River Classic, fifth (1-under-par 215) at the NJCAA D1 National Preview, tie for seventh (5-over-par 218) at the Herb Wimberly Junior College tournament, and sixth (9-over-par 225) at the Odessa College Invitational.
The Cardinals will open their spring tournament play at the Sea Best Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. on Jan. 30.
