After a two-year absence, the DP World Tour is heading back Mauritius.
With no tournament in 2020 or 2021 due to Covid-19 rules, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is hotly anticipated this year.
A fixture on the calendar since 2015, its pandemic-enforced hiatus aside, the event has had some big-name winners including Rasmus Hojagard, Kurt Kitayama and Dylan Frittelli.
It was also the scene of a piece of golf history in its first year when Javier Colomo, on the ninth and needing a birdie or better to make the cut, made the first par-4 hole-in-one in DP World Tour history.
This year the tournament will be held at Mont Choisy in the north of the island, the first time the course has been the venue.
