Four Cal Golfers Competing Across Pair Of Amateur Tournaments On Dec. 19-23
BERKELEY – While the California men’s golf team doesn’t resume collegiate competition until late January, four Golden Bears will be staying busy at a pair of amateur tournaments played between Dec. 19-23.
The trio of Tony Chen, Daniel Heo and Nathan Wang will play in the South Beach International Amateur in Miami Beach, Florida from Dec. 19-22 while Costas Panay compete in the Coachella Amateur at Terra Lago Golf Club in Indio, California, on Dec. 21-23.
The SBIA, played between both the Miami Beach Golf Club and Normandy Shores Golf Course, will be 72 holes with a cut after the first two rounds. Chen, Heo and Wang will play in consecutive groups that tee off between 8:19-8:36 a.m. (PST)/11:19-11:36 a.m. (EST) on Monday. Live results can be followed using the SBIA leaderboard.
The Coachella Amateur is scheduled to be 54 holes with no cut (weather permitting). All three rounds will begin with an 8:30 a.m. (PST) shotgun start. Results from the Coachella Amateur can be followed on GolfGenius.com.
