Senior Jack Boulger used an eagle and a handful of birdies en route to a 2-over 74 to lead the USC men’s golf team in the second round of the Southwestern Invitational on Tuesday (Jan. 31) at the North Ranch C.C. in Westlake Village, Calif.
USC remained 12th after 36 holes at 34-over 610 (300-310). Texas leads at 16-under with Oregon second at 1-over.
Boulger is the Trojans’ low player after two rounds, tied for 28th at 5-over 149 (75-74). He eagled the par 5 12th in addition to three birdies on the day.
Junior Krando Nishiba (77-75) and freshman Mahanth Chirravuri (71-81) are tied for 42nd at 8-over 152.
Sophomore Gavin Aurilia, as an individual, is tied for 56th at 12-over 156 (73-83). Junior Shane Ffrench is tied for 59th at 13-over 157 (77-80) and sophomore Jackson Rivera is 64th at 16-over 160 (79-81).
The final round is set for Wednesday with live Golf Channel coverage begins at 1:30 p.m.
