NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt begins its spring season Monday at the FAU Paradise Invitational under the sunny sky of Florida.
Hosted by Florida Atlantic University at the Osprey Point Golf Course, the field of Vandy, Colorado State, Kennesaw State, Kansas State, Georgia Southern, Mercer, Missouri, Nebraska, South Florida, UTSA and Wisconsin will be competing for the team title.
“I think we’re all ready to get the spring season underway,” Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen said. “It’s always such a long break between our last round of the fall and the first round of the spring and I just never know what to expect.
“One thing I do know for sure is that our young ladies will be ready to compete and play hard from start to finish.”
The Commodores enter the spring season ranked 19th on the GolfStat.com team rankings with senior Celina Sattelkau being ranked 30th individually by the site.
Sattelkau leads Vanderbilt’s lineup for the tournament. Junior Virginie Ding, freshmen Lynn Lim and Tillie Claggett and senior Tess Davenport round out the five. Sophomore Natasha Kiel will also compete in the tournament as an individual.
Vanderbilt finished the fall season with three top-three finishes in four tournaments, including its first regular season win—the Ron Moore Intercollegiate— since 2019.
“I was very pleased with the progress we made in the fall and I’m excited about what this team can accomplish over the next four months,” Allen said. “They’re not afraid of hard work and they never run from a challenge so it should be a fun journey.”
As part of the 7 a.m. CT shotgun start Monday, Vanderbilt will be playing alongside Kennesaw State and Nebraska. Live scoring for the event can be found HERE.
