Bruins in 11th Heading into Final Round at Therese Hession Regional Challenge


PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The No. 12 UCLA women’s golf team sits in 11th place out of 16 teams at 20-over after two rounds at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Bruins are 18 strokes back of first place, No. 1 Stanford heading into the final round on Tuesday.
 
Sophomore Zoe Antoinette Campos has shot UCLA’s best round on both days with a 1-over 72 in round one and an even-par 71 in round two. She is tied for 12th and is seven strokes back of Stanford’s Rose Zhang.
 
Annabel Wilson is tied for 28th at 5-over for the tournament (75-72). She began her second round with a 3-under 33 through her first nine holes.
 
Alessia Nobilio is tied for 36th at 6-over (72-76). Sophomore Caroline Canales rounds out the Bruins’ counting scores on day two with 7-over 78. She is tied for 53rd.
 
UCLA will tee off for the final round at 8:15 a.m. (PT), beginning on the back nine.
