PALOS VERDES, Calif. – Florida women’s golfer Annabell Fuller continued to play strong as she is tied for fifth after two rounds at the Therese Regional Challenge on Monday.
The senior erased back-to-back bogeys with four birdies over the next eight holes. Her birdie on three (par-4, 374 yards) moved her high enough to T2. Fuller shot a round of 70 (-1) for her fifth under par this season. Ranked No. 45, she is four strokes back from the solo lead.
Cutting eight strokes from yesterday, Jackie Lucena shot an even par 71. The Chico, Calif. native went 1-under on the back with no bogeys. She jumped 20 spots to T53 as Marina Escobar used her team-leading eighth birdie to place inside the top-25 at T22.
Florida is in the 13th as the rest of the lineup features Maisie Filler tied for 79th and Taylor Roberts in 81st.
The Gators wrap up the spring opener at 11:15 a.m. ET tomorrow.
