Women’s Golf Shoots Up Leaderboard in Tulane Classic

Led by Maeve Rossi’s even-par 72, RU improved its overall score by 23 strokes after the first round, firing a 297.

Sitting in a tie for 7th place, Devine once again paces the Scarlet Knights on the individual leaderboard. She rolled in three birdies to help her shoot a 2-over 74, improving on her Sunday round by a stroke. 

Rossi started her round on the back nine, putting in a birdie on the par-5 15th. She made a big charge on the front nine, carding three birdies in a five-hole stretch to finish her round with an even-par 72 and vault into a tie for 31st place. 

Rikke Nordvik and Nicole Ewing both improved on their first round scores by double-digit strokes, with Nordvik shooting a 2-over 74 and Ewing shooting a 5-over 77.

The final round of the tournament is set for Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. ET.
