NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf returns to Florida on Sunday just two weeks after their 25-stroke victory in the FAU Paradise Invitational.

This week, the Commodores will compete at the Moon Golf Invitational at the Suntree Country Club Classic Course in Melbourne, Florida.

“We’re excited to be making our first appearance in the Moon Golf Invitational,” Vandy head coach Greg Allen said. “This will be a chance to play against some really good teams and see a lot of SEC teams.”

The field consists of Vandy (ranked 19th by Golfstat.com), Alabama, Arkansas (25), Auburn (17), Augusta, Clemson, Florida, Florida State (7), LSU (9), Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Central Florida (21), and Virginia Tech.

This tournament is the first time since the 2022 Mason Rudolph Championship where Vanderbilt will face multiple ranked opponents. The Dores finished more than 10 strokes in front of reigning SEC champions LSU at that tournament and look to have the same success against other regional foes this week.

There is some shakeup in the Commodore lineup as Lynn Lim—who finished eighth at the Paradise Invitational earlier this month—is out with an illness.

“We will definitely miss Lynn this week but it will be an opportunity for a couple of the girls to step up.”

Vanderbilt is again led by senior Celina Sattelkau this week. Paradise Invitational runner-up Virginie Ding, Natasha Kiel, Tess Davenport and Tillie Claggett round out the group.

The Commodores look to win back-to-back regular season tournaments for the first time since winning the Lamkin Invitational and Clemson Invitational in the spring of 2019.

“Our young ladies are eager for the challenge,” Allen said.

Vanderbilt will tee off at 8:40 a.m. CT with Michigan State, North Carolina and Alabama. Live scoring for the event can be found HERE.
