LAS VEGAS – In the first rounds since winning the Tulane Classic to begin the spring, Purdue Women’s Golf played 36 holes at Spanish Trail Golf Club as part of The Show. The Boilermakers find themselves in ninth place at 17-over with 18 holes remaining in the tournament.
Jocelyn Bruch paced Purdue, tied for 22nd at 2-over (75-71), which included the best round of the day, a 1-under 71 in the second round. The Carmel, Indiana, native was steady throughout Monday’s play, making 29 pars to lead the 87-player field. In the second round, she finished both nines with birdies to go along with 15 pars.
Ashley Kozlowski followed Bruch, posting rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3). The Reigning Big Ten Golfer of the Week made five birdies over 36 holes, the most by anyone in the Purdue lineup.
Danielle du Toit and Momo Sugiyama both ended the day at 6-over, getting there in different ways. Du Toit’s even-par 72 led the Boilermakers in the opening round, balancing two birdies with a pair of bogeys. Meanwhile, Sugiyama was consistent, shooting back-to-back 75s.
Purdue looks to make one final push up the leaderboard during Tuesday’s final round. A shotgun start begins play at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT) with the Boilermakers paired alongside Old Dominion (+13) and Texas State (+15).
