MISSION VIEJO, Calif. – The No. 22 UCLA women’s golf team stormed ahead of the field in its second and third rounds at The Beach Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a combined 26-over over the next 36 holes to win its third tournament of the season.
The tournament at Mission Viejo Country Club included 15 teams.
The Bruins shot the lowest third-round score of the tournament with a 9-over 297 to move past runner-up Colorado State (+52, 916).
Annabel Wilson, Caroline Canales and Zoe Antoinette Campos each tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard with scores of 10-over, 226. Wilson’s performance marked her seventh top-10 placement of her collegiate career and her first since the 2020-21 campaign.
The first round on Monday ended early due to a combination of rainy weather conditions and darkness.
UCLA is back in action this Saturday and Sunday, March 4-5, competing at the Vystars Credit Union Gator Invitational hosted by the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.
