Women's Golf Primed for Gators Invitational

RALEIGH – The NC State women’s golf team returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 4 as the Pack are set for the VyStar Credit Union Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostick Golf Club in Gainesville, Fla.

The Pack enter the weekend having posted a pair of program records in its last outing at the ICON Invitational, as a pair of ten-under 278 scores in rounds one and two marked the lowest 18-hole score in program history, while the 54-hole total of 847 (-17) was the lowest in school history by 11 shots, shattering the previous record of 858 at the 2012 Sir Pizza Cards Challenge.

NC State will be bringing five golfers to the tournament, with four out of five having competed Feb. 27-28 at the ICON Invitational. Vania Simont, Isabel Amezcua, Natalie Armbruester, and Lauren Olivares Leon each saw action last weekend, while Jaclyn Kenzel will be rejoining NC State’s lineup at the Gators Invitational.

36 holes of competition will be played on Saturday, with the final round set to be played on Sunday. Play is slated to begin each day with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, with live stats available throughout the tournament’s entirety on GolfStat.com.
