Hall in Top 20, Vols 13th Through One Round at Cabo Collegiate


CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The 14th-ranked Tennessee men’s golf team is in 13th place after Sunday’s first round of play at the Cabo Collegiate.
 
The Vols shot 20-over for the day as a team. Making his return to Tennessee’s lineup, redshirt junior Jake Hall had Tennessee’s best round of the day—shooting 1-over and finishing Sunday’s round tied for 17th place.
 
In his first lineup appearance of the season, Laurent Desmarchais shot an opening round of 5-over to give the Vols their second-best counting round of the day. The sophomore is tied for 48th place going into Monday’s round.
 
One stroke behind Desmarchais is Caleb Surratt who shot 6-over 77 and sits tied for 56th place entering round two.
 
Giving Tennessee its final counting round of the day was Evan Woosley-Reed who carded an 8-over 79 and is tied for 67th place in conclusion of the first round.
 
Bryce Lewis shot 9-over in round one and is tied for 70th place entering Monday.
