The Cardinal opened at 12th overall through day one before posting the third-best second-round score on Monday to move up to seventh. After shooting 9-over on Tuesday, Stanford joined Arkansas in eighth place at 21-over.
Thorbjornsen, who has finished no lower than eighth this season, delivered his 12th career top-10 performance, producing an even final round to close out the tournament at 2-under. The reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week moved into contention on Monday, carding a 6-under 65 for the best score of the day and fueling a 10-stroke improvement from Sunday.
Karl Vilips tied for 23rd overall, finishing 2-over on Tuesday after a tournament-best 2-under 69 on Monday.
Barclay Brown was 9-over for the three-day event.
Stanford was making its seventh appearance at the Cabo Collegiate. The Cardinal’s best finish at the event was a fifth-place effort back in 2015 (2-over, 854), with 2020 (6th place, 1-over, 853) representing its only other top-10 finish.
The Cardinal returns to action on March 30-April 1, hosting The Goodwin at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
