Following significant investment, 𝗡𝗘𝗪 Stay & Play packages (opens in new tab) are now available at The Springs Resort & Golf Club in Oxfordshire.
From just £135 per person, packages include two rounds of golf, a one or two-night stay in the new luxurious accommodation, plus dinner and breakfast!
The Springs Resort & Golf Club is laid over 133 acres of beautiful parkland that runs alongside the River Thames. Offering a variety of terrain, the course presents all levels of golfers with a real challenge. The par 72 layout opened in 1998 and was originally designed by former Ryder Cup captain Brian Huggett.
The course was purchased by Darwin Escapes in 2017 and the following year began a significant investment plan. Leading course architect Tim Lobb was called in and he worked in consultation with Huggett, primarily on the bunkers and lakes, improving their placement, appearance, and aesthetic appeal.
Renowned architect Tim Lobb said: “With a little bit of careful work to bring the course up to the level of its surroundings, it will be a very successful golf resort.”
The signature hole at The Springs Resort & Golf Club is the par 3 8th over water where anything from a mid-iron to a wood can be used due to varying wind conditions. As you play into the green, it is not only surrounded by water, but is also closely guarded by bunkers to catch any bail outs.
Golfers will enjoy fantastic practice facilities to perfect their games pre-or-post round, with a driving range, short game area and practice putting green. There’s also two brand new state of the art swing studios, each with GC Quad technology and putting lab.
Away from the course, stay and play golfers will settle in the Alder Lodges. The lodges are a fantastic alternative to a traditional hotel stay, with double and twin bedroom options, an ensuite shower room, small vanity area and wardrobe.
The Alder Lodges feature Tea and coffee making facilities, along with glass sliding doors leading to a private, small, outdoor decking area, and they’re situated just a short walk from the main clubhouse building.
Also on-site are The Ridgeway Restaurant and the 1893 Spa. Get…
