The Johnnie-O at Sea Island Day One Results
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Senior Patrick Sheehan sits in the top 10 while the Nittany Lions are 10th in the 13-team field following the opening day of The Johnnie-O at Sea Island at the Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course Monday.
Penn State sits at 20-over, 580, as a team after shooting an 11-over, 291, in the morning round and 9-over, 289, in the second round.
Sheehan leads the Nittany Lions and is tied for 10th at an even 140. He carded a 3-over, 73, in the opening round before catapulting up 23 spots in the afternoon thanks to a 3-under, 67.
James Allen follows in a tie for 28th place at 4-over, 144. He carded an even 70 in the morning and 2-over, 74, in the afternoon.
Jimmy Meyers sits tied for 44th at 6-over, 146. Jack Zubkus, playing as an individual, is tied for 51st at 8-over, 148. Billy Pabst Jr. and sophomore Jake Griffin are both tied for 70th at 12-over, 152.
The third and final round of The Johnnie-O at Sea Island is set for Tuesday and live scoring will continue to be available on GolfStat.
