ATHENS, Ga. – No. 4 South Carolina shot 290 (+2) and sits in fourth place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic after 18 holes on Friday. Sophomore All-American Louise Rydqvist paced the team with a 3-under 69 that has her tied for the lead with three other players.

After a bogey at the par-3 third hole, the Sweden native was bogey free the rest of the way with four birdies, three of them coming on her final six holes. Rydqvist is seeking her first top-five of the season and the third of her career this weekend.

Fellow sophomore All-American Hannah Darling shot 73 (+1) with one birdie on her scorecard. Freshman Mia Sandtorv Lussand and graduate transfer Katherine Muzi each shot 74 (+2) to round out Carolina’s four counting scores. Sandtorv Lussand made three birdies while Muzi made four. Senior Justine Fournand, who is competing as an individual this week, also shot 74 (+2).
