Sun Devils and Grayhawk Open Volunteer Opportunities for 2023 NCAA Championships


Arizona State and Grayhawk Golf are looking for volunteers for the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships held May 19-May 31. 

Volunteer duties include marshal, practice area, standard bearer, walking scorer, supply distribution, uniform distribution, TV spotting, and volunteer headquarters.

BACKGROUND

The championship will be contested on Grayhawk Golf Club’s Raptor course, a par-72, 7,090-yard Tom Fazio design that is listed among the “Best Public Golf Courses in Arizona” by Golf Magazine. Since debuting in 1995, Raptor has hosted several premier competitive golf tournaments, including the PGA TOUR’s Frys.com Open (2007-2009). Grayhawk also hosted Pro-Ams for the Waste Management Phoenix Open (1996-2012), the Tommy Bahama Challenge (2004 & 2005), AJGA Thunderbird International Junior (2000-2019) and PGA Jr. League Championship through 2022. 

 

SHIFT REQUIREMENTS

– All volunteers are required to work a minimum of four (4) shifts.

– A volunteer who works and commits 8+ shifts (confirmed by committee chairman) will receive the additional: twosome (2) of golf at Grayhawk Golf Club, valid dates June 11 – September 13, 2023; Sunday through Wednesday tee time reservations only and must book 3 days in advance ($160 value).

-Must sign ASU NCAA Risk Waiver
