University of Washington student-athletes built upon a strong fall quarter in the classroom, raising the department-wide GPA to 3.39 during the winter quarter – up from 3.37 in the fall.
Highlights of Winter Quarter:
- Overall department GPA: 3.39
- 21 teams earned a 3.0 team GPA or higher
- 181 student-athletes made Dean’s List (3.50+ quarter GPA in 12+ numerically graded credits)
- 429 student-athletes (79%) earned a 3.0 or better
- 19 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA
- 15 teams earned a 3.40 GPA or higher (Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Golf, Gymnastics, Men’s Rowing, Women’s Rowing, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Outdoor Track & Field, Women’s Outdoor Track & Field, Women’s Indoor Track & Field, Men’s Indoor Track & Field, Volleyball)
- Women’s Cross Country led all teams with an impressive 3.83 team GPA
- Highest team GPAs among small teams (less than 20 student-athletes): Women’s Cross Country (3.83) and Men’s Cross Country (3.55)
- Highest GPAs among large teams (20+ student-athletes): Men’s Outdoor Track & Field (3.52), and a three-way tie between Gymnastics, Women’s Outdoor Track & Field and Women’s Indoor Track & Field (all 3.62)
- Most improved teams from Autumn 2022: Women’s Cross Country and Men’s Golf
