SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The Huskies wrapped up round three of competition at the Western Intercollegiate Wednesday, shooting 1093 for the tournament and finishing 12th as a team.
Petr Hruby ended as the top individual for the Huskies, up six spots from his placement yesterday, to finish in a tie for 22nd among players. Hruby carded a score of 1-under on day two, which proved to be his lowest of the three rounds, but posted three birdies over the final 18 holes to propel a strong finish.
Teddy Lin placed next-highest for Washington, tying for 42nd. Close behind him was Taehoon Song, holding fast at his ranking from the second round at 48th among the field.
Robert Galligan made a leap of 18 spots in the player standings in the final round, finishing in a tie for 62nd place, along with fellow husky Bo Peng. Galligan eagled on hole nine, the same hole teammates Peng and Aidan O’Hagan eagled in rounds one and two, respectively.
Aidan O’Hagan placed 80th overall, and trailing him was Freshman Joshua Koo, tying for 84th.
The Huskies next opportunity for tournament play will be the Pac-12 Championships April 28-30, to be hosted in Stanford, Calif.
