Men’s Golf | April 12, 2023

Sophomore Jackson Rivera turned in his first collegiate hole-in-one on his second to last hole today and joined freshman Mahanth Chirravuri with top 20 finishes to highlight the USC men’s golf team’s efforts in the Western Intercollegiate final round at Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Wednesday (April 12).

The Trojans finished 11th at 42-over 1092 (354-361-377) in the six-play, five-count format. Pepperdine won at 16-under, one of just two teams to break par at the event.

Rivera tied for 19th at 3-over 213 (70-69-74) with freshman Mahanth Chirravuri (72-70-71).

Rivera had one birdie on the day and was 4-over when he connected from 177 yards out on the par 3 8th hole. He sent his shot past the cup before spinning it back in for the ace and the eagle.

It helped him post his third straight top 19 finish and his fourth this season. For Chirravuri, the tie for 19th marked his team-best seventh finish in the top 24 this year as well as his third top 19.

Junior Krando Nishiba tied for 34th at 7-over 217 (70-71-76), his fifth top 35 this year.

Senior Jack Boulger tied for 75th at 14-over 224 (72-75-77), senior Parker Sisk tied for 77th at 15-over 225 (70-76-79) and sophomore Gavin Aurilia tied for 86th at 22-over 232 (72-79-83).

Next up for USC is the Pac-12 Championships, set for April 28-30.
