GREENSBORO, NC. – The Fighting Irish women’s golf team took on the 2023 ACC Championships where they finished tied for ninth place. Montgomery Ferreira finished in the top 15 while Lauren Beaudreau and Chloe Schiavone placed in the top 30. The Irish shot 308, 291, and 295 for a total 894 (+30) through the three rounds of the conference tournament.
The Irish shot 308 as a team in the first round. They were led by Beaudreau who finished 2 under par with a 70. Montgomery Ferreira was second, finishing with a 76. Chloe Schiavone followed with a 79, while Caroline Curtis shot 83 and Madelyn Jones an 84.
Ferreira led the Irish in round two, finishing 3 under par with a 69. Her round included 4 birdies and 1 eagle. Schiavone wasn’t far behind as she shot 71 with seven birdies herself. Curtis and Wrigley each shot 75’s while Beaudreau finished with a 79.
The final round of the tournament was led by Beaudreau and Schiavone who both finished even with par. Teammate Ferreira also shot one over in her third round tallying five birdies. Wrigley shot a 78 while Curtis rounded out the scoring for the Irish with a 85.
