Deng Tied For 7th With One Round Remaining At Pac-12s

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Washington’s Stefanie Deng carded a 2-under 70 in the second round of the 2023 Pac-12 Championships and finished the day in a tie for seventh place. The third and final round gets underway Wednesday at Papago Golf Club.
 
The UW finished the day in eighth place as a team, with a two-day total of 9-over 585.
 
Deng, who finished the first round with an even-par 72, had five birdies and three bogies on Tuesday as she scored the low round of the day among the five Huskies.
 
For a period of time, she was tied with teammate Jamie Hsieh, who spent some time at 2-under for the round before finishing with a 1-over 73. Combined with her 71 in the first round, she’s even for the tournament, tying her for 18th place.
 
Camille Boyd carded a 3-over 75 after an even-par first round. At 3-over overall, she’s tied for 27th place.
 
Kennedy Knox had a solid second round, notching three bogies and two birdies for a 1-over 73. She’s 8-over for the tournament. Brittany Kwon carded a 6-over 78 Tuesday.
 
The third round begins Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. PT.
