COLLEGE PARK, MD – This week’s Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week is junior Patricie Mackova of the Maryland women’s golf team, the Big Ten Conference announced on Wednesday. She shares the honor with Monet Chun of Michigan.
The No. 30-ranked Mackova tied for first at the Lady Buckeye Invitational after posting a total score of 208 (66-69-73), eight strokes under par, at The Ohio State University Golf Club this weekend in Columbus, Ohio, which set a tournament record. Mackova’s opening round of 66 (-6) was the lowest score of the first round. This marks her seventh top-10 finish of the 2022-23 season, including a win earlier this season at the Yale Invitational.
The Prague, Czech Republic native and Biochemistry major co-led the field in par-5 scoring at six under par (4.50), and was second in the field in par-3, scoring at three under par (2.75). No. 33 Maryland came in fourth in the event as a team.
Mackova also earned Terp of the Week honors on Monday, her fourth Solomon Eye Terp of the Week honor over her Maryland career. She was previously honored on Sept. 12, 2022, Oct. 18, 2021, and March 28, 2022.
She was also recognized by the Conference earlier this being named to the Big Ten Golfers to Watch list. Additionally, she is ranked 76th on the World Golf Amateur Ranking list (as of April 19, 2023).

Patricie Mackova, and Maryland are back in action on April 21-23 for the Big Ten Championship at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.
